Gilmore Girls is coming back to Netflix…and here’s what the original cast all look like now
A lot has changed... Rory, Paris and Dean have all had kids, while one of the teenage cast members is now 49 years old

IT was the show that catapulted Melissa McCarthy into the limelight, and taught girls it could be cool to be best friends with your mum.
People have barely stopped talking about Gilmore Girls since Netflix announced it would be returning to our screens – 16 years after its first pilot.
What have the cast been doing since the show ended in 2007? And what do they look like now?
Lorelai Gilmore: Lauren Graham
She played the mum every child wanted and the 47-year-old, who was born in Hawaii, went on to star in US comedy Parenthood for five years.
Lauren married hubby Peter Krause in 2010, and has starred in a string of comedies including Bad Santa, Evan Almighty and The Pacifier with Vince Diesel.
Rory Gilmore: Alexis Bledel
Amazingly, this American actress and model is now 35 years old.
Since leaving Stars Hollow, the mum-of-one has starred in The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants alongside Blake Lively as well as TV series Mad Men and Us & Them.
The mum-of-one dated co-star Milo Ventimiglia (Luke’s nephew Jess) until 2006, before beginning a romance with her Mad Men co-star Vincent Kartheiser in 2012.
The couple married in June 2014, and how have a son together, but Alexis has been keeping him out of the limelight.
Emily Gilmore: Kelly Bishop
The 72-year-old shot to fame in Dirty Dancing back in 1987.
Since Gilmore Girls, the woman who played Lorelai’s overbearing matriarch has appeared in The Good Wife and Friends with Kids.
She lives with her husband and TV talk show host Lee Leonard in New Jersey, and doesn't appear to have aged one bit.
Melissa McCarthy: Sookie St James
This mum-of-two is almost certainly the show’s biggest success story, after winning the world’s hearts as Lorelai’s unflappable head chef.
The 46-year-old’s impressive resume includes starring roles in Bridesmaids, This is 40, Identity Thief, The Heat, Tammy, Spy, Ghostbusters, and TV show Mike & Molly.
Melissa’s husband Ben Falcone has made cameos in several of her past projects, including Gilmore Girls, most famously as the air marshall on that ill-fated Bridesmaids flight to Las Vegas.
The couple have two daughters together, nine-year-old Vivian and six-year-old Georgette.
Luke Danes: Scott Patterson
After a successful career as a professional pitcher in minor league baseball in the 80s, Scott got his big break with Gilmore Girls – and has since starred in three Saw movies.
Shockingly, the grumpy cafe owner is now 58 years old, and has recently been meeting fans at a pop-up version of Luke’s Diner.
Lane Kim: Keiko Agena
Who would have realised this Japanese-American actress, who played Rory’s faithful best friend, was 34 when Gilmore Girls was last on our screens?
Keiko is now 43 and has appeared in the US version of Shamesless, House and cartoon Kim Possible since leaving Stars Hollow.
Paris Geller: Liza Weil
Liza, the actress behind posh Paris, spent her childhood travelling around the world with her parents, who were members of the prestigious comedy troupe The Mad House of London.
Since leaving Gilmore Girls, her private life has been much more settled. Liza has appeared in CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Greys Anatomy and How to Get Away with Murder.
The 39-year-old is now divorced from actor Paul Adelstein, of Prison Break fame, but the couple have one daughter together.
She probably looks the most different of the bunch, and is now sporting a cropped bob.
Dean Forrester: Jared Padalecki
The man who played Rory’s dreamy boyfriend Dean is now a 34-year-old married man with two kids.
Jared still stars in Supernatural, and has also appeared in thrillers Friday the 13th and House of Wax – as well as family comedy Cheaper by the Dozen.
Jess Mariano: Milo Ventimiglia
Teen heartthrob Milo played Luke’s troublesome nephew Jess.
The 39-year-old has gone on to star in Heroes, and TV versions of superhero movies Wolverine, Gotham and Ultimate Spider Man.
Kirk Gleason: Sean Gunn
He started off with a background role as the odd job man in Stars Hollow, but soon became a fan favourite.
The lovable 42-year-old, and underdog star of the show, has since appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy alongside Bradley Cooper and Chris Pratt.
Sean’s nickname is The Judge, and his younger brother is filmmaker James Gunn, of Scooby Doo the movie fame.
