The new series of Gilmore Girls is coming and THIS is what we want to happen (take note, Netflix)
After almost a DECADE our fave mother-and-daughter duo are back and we have 7 small(ish) requests...

AFTER almost a decade, our fave Stars Hollow residents are back for a new series of Gilmore Girls.
But where did they leave off, and what can we expect from mother-daughter duo Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel)? Here’s what we want to happen in the four hour-long episodes launching on Netflix on November 25.
Rory to move in with Lorelai
OK, we know she’s now in her 30s and probably has a job/home/life of her own, but it just wasn’t the same when Rory moved to Yale.
We missed the movie nights, junk food binges, gossip and wardrobe-swapping.
Bring it back please!
Lorelai and Luke to get married
It almost happened in season six, but a combination of cold feet and a surprise daughter meant we never saw them walk down the aisle.
Surely after 10 years they will at least have booked a venue, seeing as they appear to still be together in the recently released trailer?
Seriously Luke, put a ring on it!
Emily to go casual
We sobbed our hearts out when we heard Edward Herrmann AKA Lorelai’s dad Richard passed away in 2014.
Now a widow, it looks like Emily is having a clear-out of her precious antiques while wearing jeans (!) in the trailer.
We’d love her to go one step further, developing a smoking habit and a penchant for daytime television and shacking up in a caravan with her 40-year-old boyfriend.
What? It could happen.
Lane to be in a band with her twins
In season seven, Lane gave birth to Steve and Kwan, who by now should be aged around nine.
Nine year olds can play guitar and keyboard, right?
Especially if they’re related to a music-obsessed drummer and nice-but-kind-of-useless guitarist and lead singer (the less said about Zach the better).
Shame the band name Offspring is already taken.
Jess to come back to win Rory’s heart
He’s definitely in the new series, but so are Dean and Logan.
Why have none of these men moved on after all this time?
Jess was definitely our fave of Rory’s boyfriends – maybe he'll whisk her off to Philadelphia and she can edit his novels for a living.
If he isn’t on-screen most of the time we doubt we’ll even watch it.

Sookie to still be Lorelai’s best friend
We breathed a sigh of relief when we saw Melissa McCarthy in the trailer after she tweeted she hadn’t been invited to take part in the reunion series.
Thank goodness Lorelai’s culinary goddess BFF is still around to have heart-to-hearts while stirring sauces in the Dragonfly Inn kitchen, especially when Melissa’s career has gone stratospheric.
If these two had fallen out or drifted apart, the world as we know it would be over.
Paris to be running for president
It’s a long shot, but who doubted that Paris could take over the world?
All right, she might be a little power-hungry and neurotic, and her quest for perfection when she was editor of the Yale Daily News led her to have a breakdown, but the girl knows how to get a point across.
Plus, her pastel-pink blazer is very Hillary-esque.
Paris for president!
