Aldi offers lookalike versions of John Lewis Christmas items for nearly £300 CHEAPER
The German supermarket is stocking similar versions of John Lewis decorations, gifts and cookware
IT’S nearly time to deck the halls with boughs of holly, fill the fridge with festive food and buy the kids their advent calendars.
While Christmas can be an extremely expensive time of year for many families, filling your home with Yuletide joy needn’t leave you in the red.
Aldi has unveiled a range of stylish decorations, gifts and cookware that look strikingly similar to those offered by John Lewis – but for £293.70 cheaper.
The German supermarket is selling twig-effect festive lights for a purse-friendly £9.99, while the high-end department store’s version will set you back £35.
A festive snow-covered wreath is a snip at £9.99, while a pinecone and berry wreath at John Lewis retails at £20.
A light-up wooden cathedral makes the perfect table centrepiece – Aldi pay homage to the high-street retailer’s £20 ornament with a £9.99 church decoration.
Meanwhile, Aldi are selling an ornate wooden advent calendar for £8.99, a snip compared to John Lewis’ £40 red design.
A tree-shaped candle arch costs £9.99 at Aldi, while a similar offering from John Lewis is £5 more expensive.

Aldi recently caused a frenzy online when people were fooled into thinking its #KevintheCarrot campaign teaser was a preview of the hotly anticipated John Lewis advert.
Customers have previously been dashing to the tills to snap up the budget-friendly retailers Wagyu beef, luxury truffles and champagne.
