WE'VE all had lucky escapes - but these really take the biscuit.
All year, we've been shocked, horrified - and greatly relieved - by heart-stopping footage of reckless drivers, daredevil train passengers and emergencies which could have easily ended in disaster.
Here, we round up the most terrifying near-misses the internet has had to offer this year.
1. Landing drama
Passengers were left clutching their seats as their plane scraped along the runway during this landing attempt in the Czech Republic.
Strong winds meant the pilot took two gos to successfully land at Prague's Václav Havel airport - but fortunately the captain was able to rebalance the aircraft after the wing made contact with the ground on the first attempt.
2. Close call
This motorcross bike rider was lucky to come out alive after zooming through a crossroad - and narrowly missing a passing car.
Following the horrifying incident in Derby, the rider zoomed off through a recreational ground - but he was caught on a policeman's bodycam, sparking an investigation.
3. Lucky escape
A West Midlands dog walker was lucky to not be decapitated by a passing lorry as it turned round a narrow corner - almost clipping her as it swung onto the pavement.
But the lucky woman remained cool as a cucumber - chatting away to fellow high street shoppers in Brownhills, despite having just avoided death.
4. Moments from death
This motorist stared death in the face after accidentally mounting a kerb and sliding into a freezing lake.
Shocking footage captured the moment passers-by dived into Spy Pond in Arlington, Massachusetts to save the 68-year-old driver - who escaped without serious injuries.
5. Daredevil diver
YouTube user 8Booth left social media users horrified after posting heart-stopping clips of him jumping from cliffs and hotel roofs earlier this year.
In this footage, he can be seen launching himself from the side of a hotel in Laguna Beach, Orange County, California - missing the concrete edge of the pool by inches.
6. Utterly stupid
We've all been told to stay well away from train tracks at some point - but it seems this youngster missed the memo completely after jumping in front of a moving train to try and get it to stop for him.
The 14-year-old can be seen trying to flag the train down at Crosskeys station in Caerphilly, South Wales, before he dashes across the tracks to beg the stunned driver to let him board.
7. Leap of faith
This is the terrifying moment a man cheats death after diving out of the way of a speeding car.
The quick-witted man, thought to be Italian, can be seen escaping his car as a blue Citroen 2CV hurtles towards it, before leaping again to avoid being clipped by the car himself.

8. Mind the gap
It's every parent's worst nightmare - and this family of four were left traumatised after their little one slipped through the gap between the train and the platform.
The incident, which happened in Brisbane, Australia, is a stark reminder that we're always being told to "mind the gap" for a reason.
9. Millimetres from death
It doesn't get much closer than this - the lucky bus driver who was fortunate not to have his brains blow out after a bullet blasted millimetres from his head.
The bullet, fired by a robber, leaves the windscreen of the bus shattered - but luckily his life remains intact.
10. Look behind you!
This stunt pilot in Nevada had an extremely close call after another aircraft struck his from behind on the runway.
Thom Richard was competing at the National Championship Air Races in September when the dramatic events unfolded - and was fortunate to escape with just a hand injury.
11. As close as it gets
This horrifying CCTV will leave your heart in your mouth - as a cyclist crosses a train track, without realising a train is hurtling towards him.
At first, it looks like the cyclist has been pulled under the train - but by some miracle, he lives to see another day.
12. Level crossing blunder
This level crossing does actually have a barrier - but it turns out that doesn't always guarantee safety.
Shocking CCTV shows cars waiting for the barrier lift - only for a train to begin speeding by after the patient vehicles have been told it's safe to cross.
13. Dashcam disaster
This shocking clip shows the moment a Ford Fiesta driver lost control, smashing into a trailer and spinning into the fast lane.
The driver smacks into the central reservation in Porthcawl and crunches the bonnet of his car before coming to a full stop on the motorway - when the driver emerges apparently unscathed.

15. Terror in the tunnel
This is the heart-stopping moment a lifeguard tries desperately to flag down a train about to rush into a dark tunnel where two people are walking.
Luckily, the two people in the tunnel - located in Northern Ireland - escaped with minor cuts and bruises.
