‘He just kissed her holy s***’

Excited customer live tweets the moment a waitress in a coffee shop tells her co-worker she’s fancied him for six months

The guy was amazed by what he saw - but not everyone believes his story

IT sounds like the script of a rom-com, which is why not everyone believes one man's story of the moment a waitress finally told her crush she fancied him.

A Twitter user in Brooklyn, New York, was enjoying a coffee in a cafe in the city when he saw the amazing conversation unfold in front of him.

"I'm the only one in this café and the girl employee just told the guy employee she has a crush on him will update," @notjerryclayton wrote.

The tweet has certainly hit a nerve, with over 13,000 people liking it.

So what happened next? Well lucky good old Jerry gave a blow-by-blow account.

Firstly, it turned out the woman had liked her co-worker for six months.

This was enough to blow Jerry's mind, who was desperate for the woman to "make her move".

She apparently did - but things didn't go to quite to plan as the next staggering plot twist showed.

"He said he needs to go back and think about what to say," Jerry wrote, leaving his followers hanging.

If people didn't think the tale was fishy beforehand, the next tweet (after Jerry had wondered about asking the girl for a refill) certainly did.

"He just came from the back and kissed her holy s***," he wrote.

"'I didn't want to admit it to myself but I've always had a thing for you.' This is not happening.

"They just asked me if it was okay if they left for a few minutes OF COURSE IT'S OK."

The couple continued smooching in front of Jerry, who was eventually handed a free muffin by the girl for having to "deal with them".

He then left, stating the whole thing had renewed his faith in humankind.

That definitely was't the case for everyone though.

It seems Jerry's tale of two coffee lovers who met over the cappuccino machine didn't ring true for a lot of people.

Several people simply stated the revelation never happened, while some blasted him for being a liar.

"Shouldn't you be in Starbucks telling everybody your terrible rom-com script is nearly finished? Stop lying Jerry," user @Murphy1Sam wrote.

Another wondered if the man's initial shock could be because he was already taken.

Others were keen to stick up for the romantic tweeter though, with one person writing: "LOL at the disbelievers. I worked in a cafe for four years, this s*** happened on a weekly basis."

Another laughed: "Women: OMG so awesome! Romance! So sweet!

"Men: Didn't happen. Don't believe you. I am the Grinch."

This isn't the only social media post to spark debate this week. One mum sparked controversy by writing about her plans to ask her family to chip in for their Christmas dinner.
