From X-rated mishaps on takeaway signs to cringe-inducing grammatical errors on parking notices, these mistakes caused a lot of amusement when they were posted on Facebook and Reddit.
McDonald’s is one of the biggest offenders, with the burger joint’s howlers popping up on various threads.
“Hiring smiling faces for afternoon s***s,” declared one giant billboard, while another read: “Now hiring smiling feces.”
Another fast food designer was left red-faced after adding a rather unsavoury ingredient to its menu, writing: “Good guys classic burger, anus beef, lettuce, tomato special GG sauce.”
A bakery was also called out for their unfortunate spelling blunder.
A sign inside their pastry window read: “Please use Tongue or Tissue Paper when making your selection, Thank u.”
Other worrying store mistakes included doughnuts advertised with a sign that read “Mini Dognuts”, and a warning to thieves that stated: “Shoplifters will be prostituted.”
A parking business delighted car owners with their costly error. The notice read: “Illegally parked cars will be fine.”
Other laugh-out-loud signs included the computer that replaced "exit" with the word "exist", a bathroom sign that asked women to "flash" instead of "flush", and a food company that accidentally advertised "porn" sausages instead of "pork".
