Paul Danan compared to Thunderbirds character Brains as he entered CBB house looking incredibly tanned… and in a bizarre outfit

PAUL Danan has been cruelly branded a 'muppet' in his time, but last night he showed a surprising resemblance to an iconic PUPPET.

The former Hollyoaks star, 39, made a grand entrance in to the Celebrity Big Brother house wearing an unusual baby blue suit - and what looked like some sort of matching apron.

Some people watching at home thought that his striking fashion statement looked familiar, and compared him to a variety of famous characters, including Thunderbirds boffin Brains, Alan Partridge, and Dumb and Dumber favourite Harry Dune.

But it seems imitation isn't always the most sincere form of flattery, and people were quick to attack him for his outlandish sartorial choice.

One : "@PaulyDanan Why wear that weird piece of s**t? You would of had more credit without it."

: "Paul Danan must have had those sunglasses on when he bought that outfit."

After Paul proudly told Emma Wills he got the suit from his "designer", one viewer , tweeting: "#cbb omg Paul Danan looks like he was dipped in gravy and dressed by a 5 yr old #dressedlikeat**t."

However, one viewer was quick to praise Paul's edgy suit, commenting: "Paul Danan bringing back the skirt and trouser combo of the late 1990s #cbb #cbbpaul."

His tan also attracted criticism, with one typing: "WTF is Paul Danan/David Dickinson wearing! looks like a 1970 porn star that fell in a wardrobe. someone a foot shorter than him! #CBB."

In fact, Twitter was flooded with posts comparing his heavy fake tan to a can of Ronseal fence paint, and that of Ross from Friends.
