The shut down of its warehouses and distribution centres was largely due to staff safety concerns.
But following a consultation with workers, a string of new safety measures have been put in place including one-way systems and new walkways at its warehouses.
Next has also set limits on the number of items that can be ordered in a day so that workers can work safely to fulfil them.
Due to the social distancing measures, it can only have a small number of staff in each warehouse at the same time.

Next's maximum order capacity was quickly reached today, meaning Next shoppers will now have to wait until tomorrow before ordering.
So what time does Next reopen its website for orders every day and how many orders can it do a day?
Below we explain everything you need to know.
When does the Next website open for orders?
Next opened its website for orders by 7am today, and reached its maximum order capacity shortly after 8am.
The retailer told The Sun the exact opening time may vary from day to day, but it's advising disappointed customers who missed out today to check the website "tomorrow morning".
In other words, you're likely to have a better chance at making an order by setting your alarm early.
If you're keen to shop, you can still browse the Next website and add items to your favourites wishlist.
To save time, simply add the items you want to buy to your basket ready for the morning.
Initially, you'll only be able to buy necessities such as children's clothes and selected small home items.
But Next said it's hoping to add more ranges shortly too.
Next shoppers can usually get next-day delivery, but the retailer is currently operating a three-day delivery window.
Home delivery fees remain the same at £3.99 per order.
How many orders does Next do a day?
Next is limiting the amount of orders it can do in a day to help protect its staff from coronavirus.
The number of orders it can take will vary from day to day, depending on how many staff are available to process them, it told The Sun.
If you're desperate to make a Next order, make sure you do so early in the day to avoid missing out.
Once the maximum has been reached, Next will stop taking orders and convert the website to "browse only" until the next morning.
