All the mobile networks including Vodafone and EE that have brought back roaming charges – and how much it costs
MOBILE phone networks are bringing back roaming charges for Brits abroad this year.
UK customers were previously able to use their texts, minutes and data in Europe without paying an extra fee - but that's set to change for many consumers in 2022.
It follows the UK's exit from the European Union, which allowed firms to apply a fee.
Major UK networks including O2, Vodafone and EE have all announced changes to their policies.
Some are bringing in a daily charge for using your mobile data while on holiday, while others are reducing the amount you can use for free.
We explain which networks are bringing back roaming charges - and how much it could cost you.

O2
O2 contract customers can mainly use their data, minutes and text allowances as usual abroad - but there are already limits on internet usage in place.
You can only use up to 25GB of your data at no extra cost when you're travelling in Europe.
That means that if your monthly allowance is more than that, you'll have to pay a fee to use anything above the limit.
O2 will text you if you're getting close to the cap, and again if you reach it.
You can still use your mobile internet if you hit the limit, but you'll be charged £3.50 per gigabyte.
EE
EE is planning to reintroduce roaming charges in Europe from March 2022.
It will affect customers who have taken out a contract after July 7 last year - there will be a £2 daily roaming charge from March 3.
But until then, all customers can use their call, text and data allowances in the same way that they would in the UK, for no extra cost.
Vodafone
Vodafone confirmed in August that it plans to reintroduce charges for Brits abroad from January 26, 2022.
Customers who took out a contract with the network provider after August 21, 2021 will have to pay £2 a day to use data in European Union countries.
But if your agreement with Vodafone is older than that you can continue to roam without extra fees for the time being.
Three
Customers signed up to Three have until May 23 before they're also facing a £2-a-day charge.
But the fee only applies to people who joined Three after October 1, 2021.

If your contract began before that date, you can use up to 12GB of data while in Europe.
Any usage over that limit but within your allowance will trigger an additional charge.
