Next's Early May Bank Holiday opening hours

Most Next locations will retain their regular hours on Monday, May 5, 2025.

However, some stores might operate under reduced bank holiday times.

It is best to check your local branch's opening times using the retailer's store locater tool: www.next.co.uk/storelocator.

It is also important to check your local branch as Next warned of potential store closures last year after losing a landmark legal case over equal pay.

In January, it also told shoppers it may have to increase prices following the chancellor's hike to employer National Insurance contributions.

Keeping up with the trends at Next

Next has gone viral in recent years thanks to its high-fashion designs and low prices.

The chain's Mother's Day hamper cost just £25 but came stuffed full of luxury beauty goods.

The set included cleanser, mascara and lip perfecter as well as several other items.

Overall, the items in the set were worth a staggering £125.

Next is also known for slashing the prices of luxury goods to help shoppers keep up with the latest trends.

One eagle-eyed customer spotted a set of designer chairs, which were being sold for £62.50.

That shopper made a 75 per cent saving, as the chairs were originally £250.

Another savvy shopper realised that she could save money by shopping in the children's section, which saves her as much as £50 a shop.

Next's high quality items are regularly featured on fashion must-have lists, which are curated by some of the most stylish experts in the business.

Why are clothes from Next so good?

By Abby McHale Deputy Fashion Editor

Abby McHale said: "Founded in the 80s Next has been a staple on the UK high street for decades.

"Known for being a one stop shop for all the family, it’s directories especially set them apart from the crowd over the years.

"More recently it’s expanded even further, adding a roster of external brands to its repertoire, even branching further into beauty.

"But fashion is what is at its core.

"Thanks to celebrity fashion collaborations with the likes of Rochelle Humes and Emma Willis the brand is up there with the most stylish on the high street.

"From smart tailoring, classic wardrobe staples, a plethora of shoes and bags and a summer shop to lust over, there is so much to choose from.

"The best thing about Next is that it’s reliable.

"Not only offering speedy delivery, the stores are as well as in the big cities situated in your local retail parks making them super accessible.

"Plus the pieces fit well, being true to size even when it comes to jeans, which we all know can be a tricky fit.

"It really is a brand that ticks all the boxes.

"Stylish clothes that also offer comfort and practicality with a price tag to go with - what more could you ask for?

"And it seems to be working for them with sales reported to be up 5.7 per cent in the first quarter of this year."
