TESCO shoppers have been left fuming as the supermarket is set to axe a popular checkout feature in just days.
From this Friday, March 7, customers will no longer be able to pay via the Tesco app at tills.
Currently, shoppers can scan a code in the app to pay and collect Clubcard points in one go.
But soon, they’ll have to do these steps separately.
An email sent to Tesco customers confirmed the 'Pay In-Store' function, previously known as Tesco Pay+, is being scrapped.
The message read: “To ensure we’re able to keep bringing out the best value and convenience, we’ve taken the decision to remove the pay in-store feature from the Tesco app.”

It warned that between now and Friday, the feature will be phased out, and any saved card details will be removed unless they’re used for GetGo, Whoosh, or home delivery.
Tesco told customers: “Next time you’re in-store, you’ll need to pay separately after scanning your Clubcard.”
Shoppers can still earn points and access Clubcard Prices by scanning their Clubcard at the till or adding it to Apple or Google Wallets.
But customers aren’t happy, with many slamming Tesco’s decision on social media.

Another fumed: "I been using this since the first week it came out years ago, unhappy with this. it was so much easier".
A third added: “This was so convenient, just scanning one QR...guess nobody used it other than me".
Others speculated Tesco is making the change to streamline the app and reduce processing time.
A Tesco spokesperson said: “We regularly review the payment options available to customers.
It’s still quick and easy to earn points and enjoy Clubcard Prices by scanning your Clubcard or adding it to Apple or Google Wallet.”
The change kicks in this coming Friday, March 7 – so get ready to pay the old-school way.
Meanwhile, despite this "inconvenience", things could be looking up for Clubcard members.
Millions of Tesco shoppers can now earn up to £50 worth of extra Clubcard points as the supermarket has brought back its popular rewards game.
Eligible customers have been invited to participate via email or through a banner on their Tesco Clubcard app.
How does Tesco's Clubcard work?
Tesco's Clubcard scheme allows shoppers to earn points as they shop, these points can then be turned into vouchers for money off food or other reward partner schemes.
When you spend £1 in-store or online, you get one point when you scan your card or app at the checkout.
Drivers using Clubcards now get one point for every two litres spent on fuel.
You can also double their worth when you swap them for discounts with "reward partners".
For example, you can turn your vouchers into a 3 month Disney+ Standard With Ads subscription.
