Lidl is launching a £12 spiced plum gin liqueur and it could be the new mulled wine

LIDL has launched a brand new gin liqueur and we think it could give mulled wine a run for its money.
The budget supermarket has launched its new plum and cinnamon gin liqueur and you can pick it up this weekend for £12 a bottle.
The festive tipple combines the fruity flavour of plum with spices including ginger and nutmeg, and is finished with sweet cinnamon.
Lidl recommend serving it hot, and for a winter warmer cocktail suggest combining the liqueur with cloudy apple juice, star anise, cinnamon and a squeeze of honey - this is one we'll definitely be trying.
The gin liqueur is part of Lidl's popular Hortus range, which includes a dry gin for £16 and a variety of other gin liqueurs.
Asda has also launched a gin liqueur for Christmas which comes in a gingerbread flavour which shimmering edible glitter. It costs the same price as Lidl's offering at £12 a bottle.
