Clay mask sold on Amazon and eBay dubbed ‘world’s most powerful facial’ recalled for containing too much MOULD
The £6 Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay has been hailed as a beauty wonder buy but some pots contain too much bacteria

TUBS containing a clay face mask dubbed "the world's most powerful facial" have been urgently recalled because they contain too much mould.
The £6 Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay sold on Amazon and eBay has been hailed as a beauty wonder buy - but some pots contain too much bacteria, according to the European Commission (EC).
Batches of the face mask with expiry dates for March or June 2020 have been urgently recalled.
It said the amount of bacteria and mould found in the clay mask - which is made in the US and shipped over to the UK - was "too high".
The high levels of bacteria and mould could irritate your skin and eyes, according to the EC, which has classed it as a "serious" risk to people.
It comes after the super-cheap clay mask was dubbed a must-buy this year after receiving more than 11,500 positive reviews on Amazon, with some women saying it was the best face mask they had ever tried.

The clay mask has been removed for sale from the Amazon website after the Commission said it does not comply with its Cosmetic Products Regulation as it contains more bacteria than the EC says is safe.
Amazon confirmed the mask has been removed from sale when The Sun contacted them for comment.
The product was described as containing 100 percent natural bentonite, a type of clay.
Its makers said it was "beneficial for facials, acne, body wraps, clay baths, foot soaks [and] chilled clay for knee packs".
It comes after Amazon also issued an urgent recall today of a pushchair over fears it could tip over and hurt a child.
Meanwhile three pairs of children's shoes from Mamas & Papas have been urgently recalled over fears kids could choke on them.
A kids' slime toy has also been recalled today over fears it contains too much of a dangerous chemical.
