Morrisons now does a £10 copycat KFC boneless banquet but it’s 40% cheaper
It comes with 14 pieces of chicken as well as sides and drinks, but it's not around for long

THERE'S a clucking good deal right now at Morrisons: the supermarket has started selling a huge fried chicken sharing platter that's 40 per cent cheaper than KFC.
The £10 "chic-KING" meal served hot at the chain's cafés comes with 14 pieces of boneless chicken as well as four portions of chips, beans, coleslaw, onion rings and four soft drinks.
It rivals KFC's eight-piece dipping boneless feast, which costs £5.99 more at £15.99.
The fried chicken chain's deal contains less chicken and one fewer side than Morrisons' platter, which is meant to feed four and works out at £2.50 per person.
The only downside of Morrisons' version is that you can't order it online for home delivery like you can with KFC.
KFC is available on Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Just Eat, but you will be charged a delivery fee, which varies according to the platform.
It's also not around for long, as it will only be available at Morrisons' 392 cafés from today until April 28.
If you order the platter, you and your family will get your money's worth.
It includes a huge 600g of chicken: two southern-fried large fillets, eight nuggets and four mini breast fillets.
It also comes with four portions of chips, four soft drinks of your choice and three sides: beans, coleslaw and onion rings.
As you may have guessed, it's not exactly a healthy meal and you can expect the platter to contain quite a few hundred calories.
An adult man should have around 2,500 calories a day while it's 2,000 for a woman, according to NHS guidelines.
We've asked Morrisons exactly how many calories the platter contains and we will update this article if we hear back.
But as an Easter holiday treat, it will at least save you money on a trip to KFC.
A spokesman for KFC said the chain was "flattered" by the comparison.
They added: "It’s a nice compliment, but for us it’s all about quality over quantity. We’ll let our hand-breaded Original Recipe chicken do the talking."
Helen Tordoff, head of cafés at Morrisons, said: "Eating out during the holidays can be expensive for families, so we hope the 'Chic-KING' sharing platter will offer a tempting treat at an affordable price.”
