Sainsbury’s selling items for up to £40 more than Argos click-and-collect desks in the same supermarket
SUPERMARKET Sainsbury's is selling the same items for up to £40 more than Argos - despite being in the same shop.

The supermarket took over Argos in a £1.4billion deal in April 2016.
The year after it announced new Argos click and collect desks inside Sainsbury's stores.
But items such as a Henry Hoover are being sold in a Sainsbury's superstore in Northampton for £149.99 - almost £41 more expensive than at the Argos counter inside the same shop.
While an LG sound bar in Sainsbury's Crystal Palace branch costs £30 more than from Argos.
Elsewhere in Cambridgeshire a kid's Chad Valley sand and water table costs £25 in Sainsbury's but just £16.50 in Argos.
Another example included a Braun shaver, which is £25 more expensive than at Argos.
As well as a Bush portable DVD player, which costs £70 in store at Sainsbury's in Crystal Palace, south London whereas at Argos it costs £59.99 - a price difference of £10.01.
The retail giant has received complaints from customers who have spotted the price differences.
A Sainsbury’s spokesperson said, “We sell hundreds of products which are available at both Sainsbury’s and Argos and aim to offer the best possible value regardless of where our customers choose to shop with us.

“We are investigating a tiny number of examples where pricing has not been consistent, including two which were isolated to two specific stores.”
It's not the first time that Argos has faced flack for its pricing.
The retailer was slammed by shoppers who claimed that Argos pushed up prices of toys before launching a 2 for 1 sale.
Earlier this week Sainsbury's unveiled plans for its plastic recycling scheme where shoppers can get 5p per plastic bottle.
