Tesla boss Elon Musk unveils bulletproof Cybertruck by accidentally smashing its windows
TESLA founder Elon Musk has unveiled a a hulking bulletproof truck that can go 500 miles on a single charge.
But the chief executive was left red-faced when the so-called armoured glass was smashed by a metal ball during a live demonstration.

During a launch event in Los Angeles, Musk encouraged people to hit the vehicle with sledgehammers in an attempt to show of its impenetrable exterior.
He even showed a video of the truck resisting bullets from a 9mm hand gun, a feature usually only performed by military vehicles and armoured state cars.
However, a metal ball thrown by Tesla design chief Franz von Holzhausen proved too much for the motor, leaving two windows completely shattered.
Musk said "Oh my f***ing God maybe that was a little too hard", before stating there is some room for improvement.

"We threw wrenches, we threw everything, we even literally threw the kitchen sink at the glass and it didn't break
"For some weird reason it broke now, I don't know why.
"We'll fix it in post."
The electric motor has a price tag of just over £31,000 and has an estimated battery range of 500 miles.
The six-seater also boasts ultra-strong panels that are made of the same alloys found on spacecrafts.
According to a video shown at the event, the Cybertruck was able beat a Porsche 911 in a drag race and out-tow a Ford F-150 pick-up truck.
No release date has been set for the motor, but it is expected to be on the roads by late 2021.
Social media has been quick to blast the the truck's bold design.
One Twitter user said: "'It's like redneck RoboCop designed a truck", while others said it could have been designed by a four-year-old.

Musk said: "Trucks have been the same for like 100 years.
"We need something different and we need sustainable energy now.
"To solve sustainable energy we have to have a pickup truck."
