THIS is the moment a Toyota driver pulls in front of a cyclist, leaving just inches to spare.

Footage shows the cyclist riding down an Ealing road in London before the silver Prius cuts him off.

The cyclist travels in a cycle lane before zigzag lines appear, indicating he is approaching a pedestrian crossing.

After the crossing, he continues forward in an area occupied by parked cars.

Road markings direct the rider to merge into the main line of traffic.

But before he can make it, the Toyota driver pulls in front of him, forcing the cyclist to come to a holt.

He moves around the car and stops to talk to the driver through his window.

The man is heard telling the driver: "Hi mate, you can't park there. You don't that - pull in front of people like that.

"There's a solid white line here as well, they'll give you a ticket."

As the cyclist is talking, the driver is heard telling him "sorry, sorry".

In the clip, posted to Twitter in July this year, the disgruntled cyclist wrote sometimes it's necessary to speak up.

He said: "Whilst a chat can be confrontational, I do feel sometimes that poor driving needs to be called out, and without fear of assault."

According to the Highway Code, vehicles that can cause the greatest harm in the event of a collision bear the greatest responsibility to take care and reduce the danger to others.

It states that motorists should not cut across cyclists when turning into or out of a junction or changing direction or lane.

This applies whether they are using a cycle lane, a cycle track, or riding ahead on the road and you should give way to them.

It comes as a dramatic chase, which happened along the A55 in Wales, was captured on another motorist's dashcam.
