THIS car expert has shown off a new two-step window de-fogging hack - but commenters claim to have found an even better one.

The two-step hack was posted online and will only set you back 5p per use because the cleaning product can be picked up for just over £1.

In the video viewers can see someone applying washing up liquid to a sponge and then wiping it over their windows.

After half a dozen swipes, the video shows a crystal clear window ready for the driver to hop in and hit the road.

The two-step method becomes even better when realising the cost - as you only need a small blob of it for each time you want to de-fog your car windows.

A bottle of washing up liquid can be bought from Asda for just £1.15 and punters will gets tens of servings out of the tub before needing to refill.

Commenters were quick to respond to the video, mostly thanking the original poster for the clever little trick.

One user said: "I am so going try that. I've looked on YouTube and nothing has worked so far."

While a second user said: "I need this."

And a third said: "Oh my god, my car is the worst for steaming up inside, I'm so going to try this."

But some users were quick to clap back at the original poster - offering a totally different 'trick' that does not cost a penny.

One user said: "Put the fan on, it's much easier."

And a second user agreed, they said: "Or use your air con, that's what it's for."

Whether it works or not will be down to the individuals who try it, but in any case it's a new hack to add to your list and it may well save you some much needed cash.

It's not the only hack that's saving motorists precious time before heading off on their morning commutes.

Keen drivers commonly jump online to share little tricks they have discovered and some can save you valuable pounds to help battle through the cost of living crisis.

Just last week drivers discovered a cheap household item that can be used to help clean your car this winter.

While another car-expert found a new way to de-ice their motor - and it only costs 10p.

And finally, and works in a matter of moments.
