The two-step hack was posted online and will only set you back 5p per use because the cleaning product can be picked up for just over £1.

In the video viewers can see someone applying washing up liquid to a sponge and then wiping it over their windows.

After half a dozen swipes, the video shows a crystal clear window ready for the driver to hop in and hit the road.

The two-step method becomes even better when realising the cost - as you only need a small blob of it for each time you want to de-fog your car windows.

A bottle of washing up liquid can be bought from Asda for just £1.15 and punters will gets tens of servings out of the tub before needing to refill.

Commenters were quick to respond to the video, mostly thanking the original poster for the clever little trick.

One user said: "I am so going try that. I've looked on YouTube and nothing has worked so far."

While a second user said: "I need this."
