ELON Musk has hailed the upcoming Tesla Roadster, claiming it will be the fastest road car ever made and that there will "never be another like it.
The billionaire, who heads up the world's largest EV company, said that the new model would borrow rocket tech from sister company SpaceX to shatter acceleration records.
Writing on X, the social media platform he owns, Musk talked up the new hypercar's capabilities.
He said: "Tonight, we radically increased the design goals for the new Tesla Roadster.
"There will never be another car like this, if you could even call it a car.
"I think it has a shot at being the most mind-blowing product demo of all time."

He then highlighted a 2018 post in which he stated that the Roadster would include a SpaceX option which would see "10 small rocket thrusters" attached to the car.
According to Musk, this would "dramatically improve acceleration, top speed, braking and cornering."
And responding to a fan's question in the comments section, he announced that the brand was aiming for the model to record a 0-60 time under one second.
Should it achieve this, it would make the Roadster the fastest road-legal car ever invented, though Musk joked that this would be the "least interesting part" of it.

That crown is currently held by the Rimac Nevara EV which can reach 62mph from a standing start in 1.85 seconds.
Not only that, but the tech boss revealed that the model's debut is not that far off.
He said that Tesla is looking to unveil the car by the end of 2024 and ship the first orders as soon as the end of next year.
He even suggested that the design could allow the car to "fly a little", though this may have been tongue-in-cheek.
Musk concluded his praise for the upcoming motor by saying: "You will love the new Roadster more than your house."
There has been no official announcement on potential pricing, but Musk has previously suggested it could be around £200,000.
That would make it roughly a tenth of the price of the more than £2 million Rimac.
It comes after Kim Kardashian flaunted her new Cybertruck from the brand - but fans couldn't get over an "embarrassing" detail.
Meanwhile, Musk unveiled his Nuralink brain chip, saying it had been successfully implanted in a human subject for the first time.
