A CAR expert has picked out a handful of modern classic motors that can be picked up cheaply in 2024 - but might be worth a lot more money in the future.
That includes an incredibly stylish BMW sports car that can be bought for an outrageously low price.
In a video posted to YouTube, Matt Goodwin of High Peak Autos went looking for the best budget-friendly future classics that were "fun to own but also a good investment."
BMW 7-Series (E38)
A great example is the the BMW 7-Series, specifically the E38, which he was able to find for less than £5,000.
Built between 1994 until 2001, Matt describes the E38 as "a beautiful car that I've admired for a very long time now - they've aged beautifully and they've got really simple, elegant lines."
He advises drivers to go for a 2.8-litre example - the 728i - for "low running costs", but warns their "prices are starting to creep up" but can still be picked up "quite cheaply".

He added: "I think it's just a car that will rise in value in the next few years.
"You can pick up decent ones for £5,000 or less, and I swear if you keep it in good condition it will prove to be a good investment."
BMW Z4
From a stylish saloon to a sexy convertible, the BMW Z4 is another motor that Matt predicts will be a future classic.
Compared to most convertibles, he says the Z4 is a "modern car that is certainly easier to live with" than most other drop tops.

Amazingly, he claims the Z4 can be bought for as little as £1,000 - although £3,000 "will get you a decent one."
Matt also recommends drivers buy the six-cylinder iteration "because the engines are just far better than the four", and picks out the M-Sport version as the best looking.
Mercedes E-Class Convertible
Petrolheads looking for a cool and classy classic from the 1990s could certainly do worse than a convertible Mercedes E-Class - but only if they're willing to spend around £10,000.
Matt says drivers will be getting "an awful lot of car for the money" - and claims it is a "a safe place to invest £10,000 - in five or 10 years time it will be worth an awful lot of money."
However, he advises potential buyers to make sure the car they're getting comes with a full service history and has been looked after, with no rust.
Range Rover P38
Living the life of luxury on a budget can be done with a future classic Range Rover - specifically the P38 version built between 1994 and 2002.
The second-gen Range Rover boasted both sophisticated technology and modern comforts - and today is considered underrated by Land Rover fans.
What's more, Matt predicts the model will rise in value in the next few years.
After finding one for sale for just £2,800, he said: "In five or 10 years time you won't be able to get one of these P38s for less than £10k."
He added: "I think the P38 is definitely a good example of a cheap modern classic that's worth buying now before prices rise."
Saab 900 Convertible
Classic car fans looking for something a little bit different that is seldom seen on UK roads could try seeking out a Saab 900 - particuarly the convertible version.
Described by Matt as "the quintessential 90s Saab", these retro motors can be found for less than £5,000 and are great if you want something "quirky".
The expert's only concern was that finding a specialist or certain parts for the Saab 900 may be hard to come by - with the brand long since discontinued.
