A third of voters said they would most like to go on a date with Mr Johnson, according to the survey by the Encounters Dating website.

That was nearly three times as many as said Ms Swinson, while Mr Farage came third on nine per cent.

SNP boss Nicola Sturgeon was on eight per cent and Mr Corbyn on just six per cent.

Mr Johnson performed almost as well as Ms Swinson among Remainers, with 17 per cent choosing him compared to 18 per cent choosing the Lib Dem leader.

The survey also revealed that most people would not date someone whose Brexit views were different to their stance on the matter.

However Leavers were more open to dating a Remainer than the other way around.
