Streatham jihadi Sudesh Amman was IS fanatic who hoarded terror guides and urged girlfriend to behead her parents

DEAD Streatham terrorist Sudesh Amman was an IS fanatic who hoarded terror guides, it can be revealed today.

He also urged his girlfriend to behead her non-believing “kuffar” parents and planned to carry out a terrorist attack yards from his doorstep.

The former college student, from Harrow, North West London, was nicked in May 2018 and charged with sending an al-Qaeda magazine to members of a WhatsApp group.

The 79-page illustrated knife-fighting guide included instructions on inflicting damage to the body, with details on how to target vital organs in order to inflict “quick loss of consciousness” and “death”.

Cops also found a notebook filled with violent plans, recipes for explosives, and his goals, which included a desire “to die as a martyr and go to paradise”.

The 19-year-old also had a guide on “making plastic explosives from bleach”.

The Old Bailey heard how the fanatic had told his siblings in a message: “The Islamic State is here to stay.”

The WhatsApp group — called La Familia — included images of Amman’s younger relatives wielding weapons and mimicking IS supporters.

In messages with one family member, Amman suggested that Yazidi women were slaves so the Koran made it permissible to rape them.

"An al- Qaeda publication also encouraged Muslims to carry out “individual work inside the West”.

He sent beheading videos to his girlfriend, who he insisted should kill her parents.

He told her: “If you can’t make a bomb because family, friends or spies are watching or suspecting you, take a knife, molotov, sound bombs or a car at night and attack the tourists (crusaders), police and soldiers of taghut, or western embassies in every country you are in this planet.

"This is the time my brothers.”

Amman had a combat knife, air rifle and IS black flag at his home.

Cops also found 349,000 computer files on combat techniques, bomb-making and knives on his seized devices.

Amman also posted a link to a copy of an al-Qaeda terror magazine, which focused on the concept of lone wolf jihadis.

One article contained instructions on making a pressure cooker bomb and how to maximise casualties using improvised explosive devices.

The court heard he also told of carrying out a terror attack in Queensbury, North West London, not far from his home.

Amman also shared gruesome videos depicting torture and beheadings and executions — including enemy fighters being burned alive.

Panic and a cry of agony

PANIC-stricken shoppers ran for their lives as Sudesh Amman went on his rampage.

One witness said: “I saw a woman in hysterics running up the street screaming, ‘He stabbed me in the back.’ As that was happening I looked up and saw another commotion and a man run away with a huge knife.

“There was a guy on the floor covered in blood with a huge gash down his side.

“He was in a really bad way and people were circled round him shouting, ‘Stay with us’. His clothes were soaked in blood.

“Then I heard the gunshots.”

Armed police had arrived on the scene almost immediately although there were reportedly delays with the ambulances.

The witness added: “The guy was running around with a huge knife randomly stabbing people so police had to stop him.”

Others saw a distressed woman screaming outside Low Price Store. Emma Taylor, 31, who lives nearby, said she was shouting: “He’s just grabbed a knife from my shop and stabbed a lady.”

Incredibly, some appeared to be unbothered by the violence.

Footage posted online showed one police officer trying to clear a café only to be told by a female worker: “Just give us half an hour because the customers need to eat.”

An undercover police car also crashed into a wall amid the chaos, with a female officer seen stumbling out of the BMW with a head injury.

Sun journalist Olivia Utley was also shopping nearby. She said: “Londoners are growing accustomed to terror attacks. But ordinary families enjoying some unexpected February sunshine on a nondescript high street don’t expect to find themselves in the middle of a live incident.”

She said of the police: “These people ran towards danger while everyone else was running away.

“Their incredible bravery should be rewarded.”

In court, prosecutor Kelly Brocklehurst said: “He has a fascination with knives. This can be seen both through his comments to others, his searches, his attempts to purchase a knife and his comments on what he would like to do with a knife.

"It is clear he has a particular fascination with that weaponry.

“He also at one point discusses carrying out an acid attack on a moped.”

The prosecutor went on: “The Crown contends that the defendant’s interest in Islamic extremism and Daesh in particular is more than a mere immature fascination with the taboo and with graphic violence.

“He is clearly someone with sincerely held and concerning ideological beliefs which motivate him to collect and disseminate such material.

"For example, he is seen telling his girlfriend in online chat how he has declared a pledge to Islamic State and wishes to purge society and carry out acid attacks.

“Elsewhere he is seen telling her he prefers the idea of a knife attack over use of bombs.”

Jailing Amman, Judge Mark Lucraft QC said: “It seems to me on the material here that you are someone with sincerely held and concerning ideological beliefs which motivate you to collect and disseminate material of the type shown.”

He added: “You speak about ISIS being the best thing about Islam as well as whether you should be an ‘internet mujahidin’ or a ‘real one’.”
