SICKENING LIES

Serial rapist, 71, claimed he was a ‘healer’ as he attacked vulnerable victim

A PERVERT who raped or abused a disabled man 176 times while claiming to give him "medical massages" could die in prison.

Christopher Fallon used the vulnerable man's medical fears during what has been called a "sickening" campaign of rape.

Fallon, 71, from Plymouth was jailed for 17 years and warned he may die behind bars after he was found guilty of four rapes, five sexual assaults, five charges of assault by penetration and four counts of engaging in sexual activity during a four year period from 2013 to 2017 when he was aged 64 to 68.

Recorder Richard Shepherd told Exeter Crown Court that the abuse had been "sickening".

He said: "You were dishonest, deceitful and coercive.

"You have committed some 176 serious sexual offences.

"Three to four times a month for a period of four years you raped and sexually abused a very vulnerable man in his 30s."

Fallon, a father with no previous convictions, raped his victim a total of 38 times.

The pervert pensioner become friends with the disabled man and then went on to abuse his trust after he "exploited him for his own sexual gratification", said the judge.

Fallon tricked his victim into thinking he could help with one of his medical conditions.

Judge Shepherd added: "You knew he was desperate for treatment or a cure for his IBS and you manipulated him that you were some sort of healer."

Fallon also threatened to withdraw his "treatment" if he did not carry out sex acts on himself and "exploited his fear deliberately and callously".

Prosecutor Miss Kelly Scrivener said he used tools for massages - which were in fact two vibrators from Ann Summers.

She said: "The defendant offered help as a sex therapist and the victim trusted him to unblock his sexual problem.

"He did not have the capacity to recognise that what the defendant was doing to him was not treatment for his condition."

The heterosexual victim trusted Fallon and submitted to the procedures - but Miss Scrivener said that is not the same as consent.

The judge said it was a "prolonged and sustained" campaign of rape against the victim in Plymouth, Devon, and added Fallon may die before he is released from jail after serving half the 17 year total tariff.

Mr Rupert Taylor, defending, said both Fallon and the victim were "lonely and isolated" and Fallon "did regard him with affection".
