Rats as big as CATS discovered at London housing estate

TWO-foot super rats as large as domestic cats are invading homes on a London housing estate.
The beasts - which an expert says are the largest he's ever seen - were captured in the south of the city.
The pests were snared by rat catcher Lord Dean Burr from Wimbledon who says he believes the monster creatures are growing so huge they may even be feasting on EACHOTHER.
Lord Burr, who inherited his title after the death of an uncle, told the Daily Star: “Rats will eat mice and they will eat each other as and when they die.
“So it’s possible that these rats got so big by attacking and eating smaller rats.
“Getting six this big in one swoop is unheard of. I reckon we got the majority of the family.
“They were big, a foot to two feet long – that’s the size of a cat.”
The Lord says he was carrying out a routine inspection of his traps in a housing estate in Tooting, south London, when he discovered the beasts.
But the rats were so massive the traps didn't even kill them - leading to suppliers considering that the plague of super rats may now be so bad that bigger traps are needed to finish them off.
He added: “They were just left alive wedged in there.”
The pest controller said he had never had a haul like it in the 15 years since he started his company Lord Environmentals.
He told the Daily Star: “These are the biggest I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t want to corner one or be face-to-face.
“They will fight and they will bite and they will defend if they have to. It is a serious issue. They are getting bigger and bigger.”
The discovery comes after experts predicted the warm winter could push our giant rat population to 200million.
Last week we reported that a monster rat the size of a TODDLER had been captured by pest controllers in Grimsby, and last month told how .
This morning we also revealed that disabled 60-year-old Michael Gregory from Newport in Wales claimed to have been bitten on his leg stumps by a rat the size of a cat when putting out his rubbish.
