Meet the frighteningly realistic robot Jia-Jia who refers to her creator as ‘My Lord’
Chinese scientists unveil most human-like robot woman ever who recognises faces and can learn new skills
MEET Jia-Jia - the terrifyingly realistic 'robot goddess' who refers to you as "my lord".
She was developed by Chinese scientists who say she will learn skills and recognise human faces.
With her flowing long hair and feminine features, you would be forgiven for mistaking her for a real woman.
Jia-Jia, who was unveiled Friday by the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), even has insecurity issues.
When she met the amazed crowd she got bashful and told them: "Don't come too close to me when you are taking a picture.
"It will make my face look fat."
She has natural eye movement and her lips synch up with her 'voice'.
It took her creator Chen Xiaoping and his team three years to build Jia-Jia.
When Xiaoping said hello to her at the unveiling the robot responded: "Yes my lord, what can I do for you?"
He told the crowd: "We hope to develop the robot so it has deep learning abilities.
"We will add facial expression recognition and make it interact more deeply with people."
For now she is a one off, with no plans for mass production.
Jia-Jia is programmed to recognise human interaction and a 'cloud' based system for storing memories.
She isn't the first realistic fembot.
Earlier this month Ricky Ma unveiled his own model - a life-like replica of actress Scarlett Johansson.
