Dramatic photos shows simulated terror attack on Paris Metro involving French Special Forces and heavily armed cops

THESE dramatic photos shows French police simulating a terrorist attack in a major Paris railway station.
The purpose of the exercise was to improve co-operation between units and facilitate their quick arrival in case of another terrorist attack.
In this scenario, nine terrorists burst into Montparnasse station in Paris and killed scores of travellers.
France's elite security units - RAID, BIS and GIGN - were implemented to neutralise the threat.
Arriving at the scene, the rapid reaction force killed one of the attackers and 150 officers then entered two trains to engage the other terrorists, who had taken the passengers hostage.
Within ten minutes, the raid was over and the hostages were released without injury.
The intense footage shows armoured police making their way down to the train and killing the terrorists, while hostages cower in the train seats.
The Minister of the Interior Bernard Cazeneuve said: "This new intervention scheme is not a break with what was happening in previous years but an enhancement, an improvement."
The exercise was deemed a success and the whole operation was wrapped up within an hour.
