Atlanta PD release video of person of interest in death of 8-year-old Secoriea Turner gunned down on Saturday
POLICE have released surveillance footage of a possible suspect in the shooting death of eight-year-old Secoriea Turner, who died on Saturday night.

The child was killed after at least two people in a crowd of armed people tried driving through illegally placed barricades, authorities said.
Armed individuals blocking the entrance opened fire on the vehicle, striking it multiple times and killing Secoriea.

On Tuesday, investigators released a security video of a person of interest in her death.
The footage from outside a package store on Saturday night shows a man — armed with what said is an AR-15 weapon — walking while dressed in a white shirt and dark jeans.
"I'm confident that somebody knows the name of this man," Lieutenant Pete Malecki said. "And with a simple phone call an individual could earn a $20,000 reward being offered through CrimeStoppers."
Malecki said the suspect is one of several persons of interest connected to .

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, who , said on Sunday: “You shot and killed a baby."
“You can’t blame this on a police officer,” the mayor said. “You can’t say this about criminal justice reform. This is about some people carrying some weapons who shot up a car with an eight-year-old baby in the car for what?”

“And there wasn’t just one shooter, there were at least two shooters.”
"We have talked about this movement that is happening across at this moment in time when we have the ears and the interest of people across this country and across this globe who are saying they want to see change," she said.

“An eight-year-old girl was killed last night because her mother was riding down the street. If Secoriea was not safe last night, none of us are safe.”
Police said that in addition to Secoriea's death, two other people were killed and more than 20 people were injured in incidents of gunfire during the weekend in Atlanta.
