JET PACK MYSTERY

Teen Charlie Knott films man ‘floating in sky in secret army experiment’ over fields in West Sussex

Or is the bizarre video of an alien, magician Dynamo, birds, a balloon or the devil?

A TEEN could have captured a top secret army experiment on film after he videoed a man on his phone camera - floating in the SKY.

The mysterious figure, apparently wearing some sort of next-generation personalised transportation device, such as a jet pack, was spotted flying hundreds of feet above the ground.

The amazing video has sent the internet into meltdown

Charlie Knott managed to get the weird spectacle on film after he noticed the image flying above his home town of Furnace Green, West Sussex.

The lad, 16, was staying at a friend's home at 9pm on Friday when he noticed the 'person' floating in the air.

Charlie said: "I was at my friend's house on Furnace Parade, above the shops, when my fried just shouted 'there's a man floating in the sky.'

"We both ran outside and were just looking at it and wondering what it was.

"Then I ran back inside to get my phone to take pictures and video.

"It was like the figure of a person and it looked like it was on a board which was underneath the figure and was moving quite quickly.

"It went around one of the trees and we went around to carry on watching it but it had gone."

However, after a series of suggestions on social media, the possibility that the floating figure could also be an extraterrestrial being, which Charlie is not discounting.

He said: "I think it's aliens because I believe in that.

"There were a few people saying it could be a helium balloon but if it was that it would have kept floating upwards - not stayed at the same height."

Suggestions as to what it could have been floating above these homes in Crawley range from urban magician Dynamo's latest illusion to a flock of birds morphed in the shape of a human.

But while aliens may be plausible, others suggest that the floating figure above Crawley has been connected to a secret NASA project named Project Blue Beam.

Project Blue Beam is a conspiracy theory that NASA is to implement a new world order in the form of a new religion with the Anti-Christ at its head.

In order to convince people of this, it is thought that a 'Second Coming' will be technologically simulated.

Other people think it is a person-shaped balloon.

The history of the Jet Pack - from Bond to beyond

Jet packs, rocket belts and rocket packs are used for various types of devices, usually worn on the back.
They are propelled by jets of escaping gases to let a single user propel themselves into the skies
The concept emerged from science fiction in the 1960s and became popular as the technology became a reality.
The most common use of the jet pack has been in extra-vehicular activities for astronauts.
Despite decades of advancement in the technology, many obstacles remain in the way of use of the jetpack in the military or as a means of personal transport, including the challenges of Earth's atmosphere,
Earth's gravity, low energy density of available fuels, and the human body not being naturally adapted to fly.
To compensate for the limitations of the human body, the jet pack must accommodate for all factors of flight such as lift and stabilisation.
James Bond famously flew one to escape gun-toting baddies in the 1965 film Thunderball.
