But 64 per cent of respondents in a YouGov survey said they were “not interested at all” in watching shows produced by the couple.

A further 20 per cent were “not very interested”.

Only three per cent were “very interested” and nine per cent “fairly interested”.

The rest said they “didn’t know” — meaning a total of nine in ten will not be watching their output.

Seventy per cent of men had no interest compared to 59 per cent of women, and 79 per cent of over 65s.

Harry, 35, and Meghan, 39, who have never produced a TV show before, will make documentaries, films and kids’ programmes.

Netflix boasts 192million subscribers worldwide making the Sussexes major Hollywood players in the eyes of TV experts.

The duke and duchess claim their “impactful” output will “unlock action” and “give hope”.

But in a blow to the deal, shares in Netflix fell by 4.9 per cent after the announcement — wiping around £9billion off the firm’s value.

Harry and Meghan quit the UK in March and have moved to an £11million mansion in Montecito, California, with a 30-year mortgage.
