OSCAR Pistorius has given his first TV interview since being convicted of murdering his girlfriend Reeva Steemkamp.
The cold-blooded blade-runner, who had his original conviction of culpable homicide upgraded to second-degree murder, spoke to journalist Mark Williams-Thomas in a hour-long ITV special which will air on June 24.
The former Paralympic and Olympic athlete is due to be sentenced for slaughtering his model partner later this month – and is facing a minimum of 15 years behind bars.
And while there are very few details about the interview, the channel says the programme will discuss what happened on Valentine’s Day in 2013 when Pistorius unloaded a shot-gun through a bathroom door in his house - slaying his girlfriend who was locked inside.
In a statement, ITV reveals that the convicted murderer will also talk about preparing for life in jail.
The broadcaster said: “In the documentary, Pistorius gives his account of what happened the night he killed his girlfriend and is questioned about key details of the prosecution case which resulted in his conviction.
