Dad of ISIS gunman says massacre of 50 people in Orlando was wrong because Allah will hurt homosexuals himself
Omar Mateen's dad says attack 'had nothing to do with religion' and came after his son saw gay men kissing in Miami
THE dad of the crazed gunman who killed 49 people in a gay Orlando nightclub said his son should not have opened fire - because 'god will punish those involved in homosexuality'.
Seddique Matteen also said that Omar Matteen was “dignified” and respected his parents after the murderous spree in Pulse nightclub on Sunday.
In a video posted on his Facebook page, Saddique said: "I am deeply saddened and announce this to the people of America.
"God himself will punish those involved in homosexuality – this is not for the servants’ of God."
Mourners were outraged after father Seddique Mateen said that gunman Omar Mateen carried a "grudge in his heart" against gay people.
Seddique said: “I don’t know what has caused him to shoot, and I don’t know and I did not understand that he holds grudge in his heart that went to a homosexual night club of boys and girls and shot fifty people with gun.
"My son, Omar Mateen was a very good son and an educated son. He had one kid, and a wife, and he was so dignified which means he had respect to his parents."
“I am very upset and I have announced it to the American people as well. Why he has done it in the holy month of Ramadan.”
In his controversial statement, he said that people should not punish gay people.
He said: “The God himself will give punishment to homosexuality, and it’s not related to people. I am terrifically saddened what he did.”
At the end of his statement, he called for “death to Pakistan”.
His bizarre statement came as Seddique Mateen declared himself the president of Afghanistan on his Facebook page.
The dad of Orlando nightclub killer Omar Mateen has also been revealed as a Taliban sympathiser who made a TV show ranting about the USA.
The Afghan-national has said he "runs" the war-torn country from his Florida home and once declared the Taliban his "war brothers".
Other episodes of his "Durand Jirga Show" are littered with "anti-US tirades", according to AP.
Just hours before his son opened fire, the dad posted a rant calling for the arrest of leaders in his homeland.
Dressed in military fatigues, the self-styled politician barks: “I order the national army, national police and intelligence department to immediately imprison Karzai, Ashraf Ghani, Zalmay Khalilzad, Atmar, and Sayyaf.
“They are against our countrymen and against our homeland.”

It comes after the extremist's dad apologised for the attack, but claimed it had "nothing to do with religion".
He suggested his son had become angry after seeing two gay men kissing in downtown Miami in front of his wife and son.
The dad reportedly told : "We are saying we are apologising for the whole incident.
"We weren't aware of any action he is taking. We are in shock like the whole country."
In other videos on his “Provisional Government of Afghanistan” page he calls for a war on neighbouring Pakistan.
He says: “I would have ordered the 350,000 Afghan soldiers to directly attack Pakistan, because we need to get rid of this cancer.
“We do not have attack airplanes, lots of weapons, but we have got zeal and guts.”
Afghan journalist Zubair Babakarkhail denied allegations he attacked America in videos, and described the Afghan national as a "joke".
He said: “He’s a joke in Afghanistan. Everyone laughed when he declared himself president.
“But he doesn’t say much that could be seen as being fundamentalist.
“He only wants to attack Pakistan. He does not criticise America and he’s not a supporter of the Taliban.”
