DONALD Trump is furious after it emerged the US attorney general knew about investigations into President-elect Joe Biden’s son before the run up to the US election.
A new report claims knew about allegations into business dealings since the spring – months before the details emerged in the national press.
reported on Thursday the attorney general attempted to stop the investigation being made public, which has infuriated President Donald Trump.
An angry blasted on Twitter following the report: "Why didn’t the Fake News Media, the and the DOJ report the Biden matter BEFORE the Election.
"Oh well, it’s OK, we won the anyway - 75,000,000 VOTES!!!" he continued
It comes after Trump and various urged Barr to pursue Hunter for months.
A source told the Journal the attorney general warded off pressure from Republicans in who were gunning for information into the investigations.
It comes as the Department of Justice .
But the DOJ is not looking into the contents of a laptop alleged to belong to Biden – which was leaked to the press by Trump’s lawyer in the weeks running up to the November election.
Senate Republicans released an 87-page report on September 23, detailing Hunter Biden’s work for Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings during his father time as vice president.
The report found that two administration officials, Amos Hochstein and George Kent, were concerned back in 2015 that Biden’s policy would be a conflict of interest with Hunter’s ties to the gas company.
And later today, Trump sent another tweet, ranting: "Now it turns out that my phone call to the President of Ukraine, which many, including me, have called “perfect", was even better than that.
"I predicted Biden corruption, said to call the A.G., who perhaps knew of the corruption during the impeachment hoax?"
Hunter also revealed on Wednesday that he is under federal investigation over his taxes.
A statement out out by Joe Biden’s transition office read: “I learned yesterday for the first time that the U.S. Attorney's Office in advised my legal counsel, also yesterday, that they are investigating my tax affairs."
According to The Associated Press, the investigation started in 2018 but a new round of subpoenas went out on Tuesday, including to Hunter Biden.
Barr has said publicly that the the president-elect isn't under investigation.
And two sources told CNN that the probe doesn't allege any wrongdoing on the part of the president-elect.

A statement circulated by the Biden transition team on Wednesday showed the president-elect is standing by his son.
The statement noted how Biden is "proud of his son, who has fought through difficult challenges, including the vicious personal attacks of recent months, only to emerge stronger."
