Tempers flared once again as England suffered a humiliating defeat to Iceland

Supporter Lawrence Tanner tweeted the clip and wrote: “Classic England on and off the pitch as it kicks off in Paris Fanzone. Hate our fans at times.”

In the footage men can be seen pushing and shoving and a woman can be heard screaming.

Fighting at the tournament had appeared to have calmed down.

But following England’s disastrous result tonight tempers once again flared.

The team lost 2-1 to Iceland and manager Roy Hodgson was forced to resign.

Blundering Hodgson — whose team limped into the knockout phase behind Wales — quit straight after the match, saying: “I am sorry it will have to end this way, but these things happen.”

England had got off to a dream start Raheem Sterling won a penalty after being hauled down after just three minutes.

But just two minutes later Iceland were level before striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson sent Iceland into the lead.

England now head home from France after again failing to deliver at a major tournament just two years after they flopped at the World Cup in the group stages.

Inside the stadium some fans were pictured appearing to argue with officials.

Earlier on in the tournament England fans had clashed with Russian hooligans in scenes which shamed football.

Truncheon-wielding Russian fans wearing gum-shields and balaclavas left several Brits in hospital.

Andrew Bache, 51, was attacked by a group of Russians armed with iron bars and suffered a cardiac arrest, extensive brain injuries and a lung infection.

Violence marred England’s opening Euro 2016 match with Russia with hooligans even firing a flare gun into the Three Lions fans.

Russian thugs also stormed the English section of Marseilles’ Velodrome during England’s first game of the tournament.

The major security breach came as tournament organisers promised ‘unprecedented’ levels of security to protect stadiums against possible terrorist attacks.

Fans had described their horror as the hooligans forced them flee and one man was seen carrying his terrified young son away from the fighting in the stands.

Stewart Gray, of Hinckley, Leicestershire, was also left in a coma after being attacked by marauding Russian Ultras in the country.

French riot cops sprayed tear gas and charged at Brits following a series of savage battles on the streets with Russian fans earlier on in the competition.
