Child abuser dubbed one of the vilest men in Britain to die in jail after handed 24 year sentence
Douglas Slade, founder of network which wanted to legalise sex with kids, found guilty of attacks up to 50 years ago

A CHILD abuser branded one of the vilest men in Britain is set to die in jail after being sentenced to 24 years yesterday.
Ex-Navy officer Douglas Slade, 75, was a founder of the Paedophile Information Exchange which wanted to legalise sex with kids.
The network, linked to pervert DJ Jimmy Savile, operated openly in the 1970s and ’80s and shared obscene material.
Slade, who ran a “helpline” on abusing kids, fled in 1985 but was nicked in the Philippines last year.
