A woman was beheaded by a train while having sex just inches from the world famous Trans-Siberian railway track.
The victim was struck as she tried to move out of the way of the train, but her lover survived the dangerous tryst near a station in the remote Buryatia region.
A Russian Railways source said: "The woman was on top of her partner and when she heard an approaching train, she started to stand up. Right then, the speeding train tore her head off."
"Had she remained in her previous position, she would have stayed alive. The man survived."
The moment of passion was near Zaudinskaya railway station in the suburbs of Ulan-Ude, the regional capital.

The case was highlighted amid concern over the number of accidents with people crossing railway lines in Russia.
