A HEART-wrenching photo of a boy sobbing on his dead dad’s coffin has emerged days after he was killed during the failed coup in Turkey.
The youngster is holding the casket, draped in the nations flag, at a memorial service at Fatih Mosque in Istanbul.
It's believed the man had been shot in the head during the violence on Friday, which killed 265 people.
There have been 6,000 arrests since military attempted to overthrow the government.
At the procession today, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan praised the coup as a "gift from God... because this will be a reason to cleanse our army".
He blamed US-based Turkish cleric Fethullah Gulen for the plot - but Mr Gulen denies being involved.
Among the dead are many civilians and police loyal to the government, while those arrested include high-ranking military officers and 2,700 judges.

Rebel leader General Erdal Ozturk was marched, with his hands cuffed behind his back, through the streets after the coup which saw hundreds killed in the streets of Istanbul and Ankara in the overnight coup.
The country’s President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has now issued arrest warrants for 2745 judges and prosecutors with 132 already detained.
Tens of thousands of Turks celebrated on the main squares of key cities to celebrate the failure of the coup until the early hours of Sunday morning.
Prime minister Binali Yildirim said those involved in the coup will "receive every punishment they deserve".
