THIS is the unbelievable moment a thoughtless bystander watched a police motorcade crash – and then took a selfie in front of the carnage.
Concerned workmates rushed to the cyclist and motorbiker’s aid as they lay prone on the floor.
But instead of helping the dazed duo, the shameless snapper waltzes up in front of the crash and poses for several selfies.
Not content with his first pic, he manoeuvres into position to get a better shot of the action.
The bizarre incident took place in the Brazilian city of Osasco in Sao Paulo state.
Thousands thronged onto the streets to watch the Olympic torch pass through the town ahead of the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games next week.
Social media users criticised him for his actions.
One said: “I couldn’t believe it when I saw it. It didn’t cross his mind to help, just to record the moment.”
Another added: “It’s shocking that someone would consider taking a selfie where they see people are suffering.”
The relay was suspended for 20 minutes while the crocked pair were seen to by paramedics.
Both police were uninjured following the mishap.
Hours earlier in Jundiai, also in Sao Paulo state, a demonstrator tried to extinguish the Olympic flame by throwing a drink over it.
He was marched away from the area by police who thwarted his bid.
The Olympic torch began its journey in April from the Greek town of Olympia – the ancient birthplace of the Games.
