Fred West dig footage shows inside cafe basement where ‘Mary Bastholm and other bodies buried’

FOOTAGE shows the inside of the basement where cops are digging for the remains of a missing 15-year-old girl feared murdered by serial killer Fred West.
Schoolgirl Mary Bastholm was last seen on 6 January 1968 waiting for a bus to go and see her boyfriend.
Officers began excavating the Clean Plate café in Gloucester on Tuesday after a blue piece of material – believed to Mary’s coat – was found by a TV production crew.
Footage shared by Gloucestershire Police shows the concrete basement, with chalk markings detailing the excavation points.
It comes after six "anomalies" were found at the cafe where missing Mary is feared to be buried.
Specialist technology discovered holes in the concrete floor of toilet cubicles at the Clean Plate cafe in Gloucester where the serial killer carried out renovations.
Mary, 15, was working at the establishment before she disappeared in 1968.
She is believed to have been offered a lift by serial killer Fred West and then murdered.
Mary's body has never been found with her parents tragically passing away before discovering what happened to their daughter.
Now in an "extraordinary development", 26 years after West killed himself, police are excavating the basement of the Clean Plate cafe in Gloucester where Mary worked as a waitress.
West was charged with 12 murders but had confessed to killing up to 30 victims before hanging himself in prison while on remand in January 1995.
His wife Rose West was convicted of 10 murders, and sentenced to 10 life jail terms in November 1995.
Cops are now warning the search for the latest victim, which has been launched following a "recent discovery" could take a "number of weeks".
The team used a ground penetrating radar and found a void in the basement of the cafe within two toilet cubicles.
They drilled the area, allowing holes for ventilation so that police dogs could get an indication of human remains.
The insertion of an endoscope in one of the holes also identified a grainy image of a 'blue looking material within the gap.'
