Female cyclist ‘gang-raped by number of attackers as she rode through park’

Horrific crime took place in a town near Dublin in the early hours

A FEMALE cyclist is believed to have been raped by a number of attackers in Clondalkin in the early hours of this morning.

The victim was cycling on the Ninth Lock Road when she was dragged into an area of parkland by a number of people at around 3am, according to local reports.

The woman has been taken to hospital and the extent of her injuries is not known.

Cops have sealed off the area where the alleged attack took place.

A spokesman told : "Police at Ronanstown are investigating an alleged sexual assault of a female which occurred at approximately 3.20am this morning in the Newlands Road area of Clondalkin.
