Three people killed and another is fighting for their life after head-on smash
Tragic accident happened in the Irish region of Donegal

THREE people have been killed in a head-on crash in the Irish region of Donegal in the early hours of this morning.
The smash happened around four miles outside Letterkenny at 1am, in an area known as Corravaddy.
Two men and a woman were killed on impact and a man is in a serious condition in Letterkenny University Hospital.

The scene is currently closed to traffic and diversions are in place.
Police forensic collision investigators have been requested to examine the scene and the local coroner has been notified.
According to the website today’s tragic accident is the second multi-fatality road traffic accident in the county inside twenty four hours.

A statement from the Garda Ombudsman said that it is investigating reports of police involvement in the incident.
Investigations are continuing and cops are appealing for witnesses.
