Top DJ and wife banned from island after leaving children alone in hotel to go on holiday booze session

A COUPLE left their two young daughters sleeping alone in a hotel while they went out drinking 'til the early hours.
They were only caught out when police noticed the brake lights on their car “flashing intermittently” as they drove through Saint Helier, the capital of Jersey.
The male driver — who cannot be named for legal reasons — was found to be almost three times over the alcohol limit when stopped at 2.45am on Monday, the island’s magistrates’ court heard.
Police legal adviser Lawrence O’Donnell said when the pair were questioned it became clear their daughters had been left alone at the Beachcombers Hotel in Grouville.
The girls, aged five and eight, were later found asleep by police officers on a sofabed in the family’s hotel room.
The elder daughter had been left with a phone and told to use it in case of any problems.
The husband, 28, is a top dance music DJ from London and is a regular performer at some of the biggest clubs in the world, reports the .

The couple’s lawyer, Michael Haines, said it was the husband who wanted to go out for a drink in the early hours of Monday and talked his wife into going with him.
Mr O’Donnell told the court the family had flown to the Channel island for a week’s holiday.
On the night of the incident they had stayed in their room until 1.10am before heading out for a drink.
The two youngsters were taken into care by the island’s children’s service until the court hearing, at which their father pleaded guilty to drink-driving.
He and his wife, 30, from Stratford, both admitted recklessly exposing children to a risk of harm and were banned from the island for three years.
The father was also sentenced to 100 hours of community service and banned from driving in Jersey for two years.
The court was told that authorities in Newham would oversee the community service order and also carry out an assessment of their £425,000 terrace home.
The family are understood to have arrived back in London last night.
