Her congressional campaign launch came about six months after her loss to incumbent Charlie Crist.

What is Anna Paulina Luna's role in Donald Trump's new state secrets task force?

In February 2025, the firebrand Republican was chosen to lead President Donald Trump's new crack team called the "Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets."

As a member of the House Oversight Committee, Anna was selected to spearhead the task force.

It is set to blow the lid off a raft of "federal secrets" thought to be of "public interest," including the assassination of JFK, Jeffrey Epstein's so-called client list, 9/11, and UFOs.

The task force was formed in the wake of Trump's executive order to declassify all remaining records relating to JFK's assassination, and those of Robert F. Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr.

It was revealed on February 10, 2025, that the FBI had discovered thousands of new top-secret JFK files as they executed Trump's demands.

On February 11, 2025, Anna said: "For too long, the American spirit has been dimmed by veil of secrecy, by a government that has grown too comfortable in the shadows, denying us the transparency we deserve."

She claimed the government "has been hiding information for decades” and vowed to “restore trust through transparency".

As part of the press conference, she said she believed there were "two shooters" in the assassination of JFK in 1963.

The Republican outlined her hopes to interview "attending physicians at the initial assassination" as well as people such as those in the Warren Commission - all of whom are now dead.

Other plans include making public any information the CIA had in hand before the 9/11 terrorist attacks and expose any cover-up protecting people involved in Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking operation.

Joining her on the task force are Republican Representatives Tim Burchett, Lauren Boebert, Eric Burlison, Eli Crane, Brandon Gill and Nancy Mace.

In the announcement, Anna said places on the task force will be open to the "entire governing body" for "certain members" saying it will be a "beacon of bipartisanship."

The squad has been given six months to complete their work, with the first hearing on the assassination of JFK scheduled for March 2025.
