Cops hunt suspect with man bun after woman in her 20s raped on night of England V Italy Euro 2020 final

POLICE are hunting a suspect with a man bun after a woman in her 20s was raped on the night of the England V Italy Euro 2020 final.
The woman was walking home when her attacker forced her into bushes and unleashed the savage attack in Bedford about 12.30am.
The attacker was said to have fled the scene on the Bedfordshire town’s Castle Road, near to the junction with Newnham Road.
He then headed in the direction of the John Bunyan Museum.
Detective Inspector Michelle Lack said: "We are taking this incident very seriously and wish to find this man as soon as possible as he may have information that can assist our inquiry.
"This attack was extremely distressing, and our team of specialist officers is supporting the victim.
"It was the night of the England v Italy Euro final, and there were many people out in Bedford town centre in the early hours.
"We have already been following a number of lines of inquiry and are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time of the incident or anyone who may have seen anything suspicious."
Det Insp Lack added she would like to reassure locals the force was doing all it could find the man responsible.
The suspect is described as about 6’2, white, with brown highlighted hair, worn in a "man bun".
