Fears for missing Brit with dementia who has disappeared on family holiday in Cyprus

The OAP wandered off alone during a family holiday sparking panic

AN OAP suffering from dementia has gone missing during a family holiday in Cyprus.

Jack Jackow, 69, was last seen leaving the Nelia Beach Hotel in the Larnica area of Ayia Napa at 7.30am local time on Monday morning.

The OAP, from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, was wearing jeans and a T-shirt when he went missing.

Search teams on the island told today that Jack was sighted yesterday in the Protaras area, adding that it "is a really positive sign".

Police are searching the area and his family say they are increasingly concerned because he has dementia and doesn’t know the area, .

A Facebook page titled Missing Jack Jackow has been set up to help raise awareness.

A message posted on the page yesterday morning said: “Jack has been missing over 48 hours now and family and close friends are beyond worried - we need him back safe and well and as soon as possible.

“Jack has dementia and will be very confused.

“Please spread the word to bring him back to us ASAP.

“Search parties and police continue to search as well as his son Adam and daughter Natalie who just want dad back.”
