Gabby Petito’s family speak for first time after body found in Wyoming & say they will be ‘forever grateful’ for help

GABBY Petito's family released a statement via their lawyer after FBI officials announced a body found in Grand Teton National Park appears to be that of the missing young woman.
"We are asking the press and news media to have some decorum and sensitivity for Gabby's family and allow them to grieve," the statement from reads.
"I will be in contact with you when Gabby's family is ready to make a public statement."
Stafford thanked with a special message of gratitude for the Grand Teton Search and Rescue Team.
"Your tireless work and determination helped ," Stafford wrote. "The family and I will be forever grateful."

Gabby's fiance Brian remains missing after he returned from their trip alone.

While Petito's mother, Nicole Schmidt, revealed that she heard from her daughter on August 27 and 30, she told she is not sure if it was actually her as only text messages were exchanged.
"It was just a text. I did not verbally speak to her," she told the media outlet.

Following the unusual circumstances, Schmidt then reported her daughter missing on September 11 at around 6.55pm.
