THIS is the devastating moment a teenager was left on the verge of tears after reading out his disappointing A-level results on live TV.

Nervous Milan explained he was hoping to attend Manchester University in the autumn so needed three A grades in maths, chemistry and physics.

But when the student opened up the envelope containing his results on Good Morning Britain, he looked devastated.

He then confessed: "I got a A and two Bs," he said. "I needed three As. But I still have the grades to get into my insurance choice which was Liverpool University."

To add insult to injury, Milan then had to endure being quizzed by the presenter over his grades, who kept asking him questions about Liverpool.

He was also the last to read out his results after two female students were given a round of applause each for getting their dream grades.

Megan was beaming when she got one A* and two Bs - above her required grades - and Naomi got the A and two Bs she needed.

Poor Milan was only given weak praise by one person in the background out of shot.

He was backed up however by Kate Garraway, who quipped: "Who needs Manchester anyway?"

Good Morning Britain was slammed by viewers for the "cruel" stunt on Twitter.

@JoshIsTooCute said: "Awe the kid on GMB looks like he's going to cry ;( #resultsday".

Vinity Joshi said: "The live A Level results segment on #GMB was cringe for Milan should really script that part instead of doing it live".

@furiouspigeon said: "Oh dear. Mulan live on tv just opened failed results on & looked devastated! Couldn't hide it. Looked like he was going to puke!"

@JennaHogan_ wrote: "Awks when @GMB make you open your A Level results live on TV, read them out and you don't have the results that you needed. Cruel!".

Stacey Firth blasted: "Poor lad on Gmail making him open his results live on TV and he didn't get what he wanted#GMB#cruel".

While Joe Audritt said: "Oh you poor sod. Hope your happy @GMB !".
