Car thief who led police on a high-speed chase has a miracle escape after crashing BMW

A “STOLEN” high performance BMW crashed on the M6 Toll after leading cops on a high-speed chase.
The driver had a miracle escape after losing control and smashing the M3 series vehicle at Bassetts Pole between Tamworth, Sutton Coldfield and Lichfield on Saturday, ending the police pursuit.
Cops tracked the vehicle down after it was reported stolen in Lincolnshire.
Pictures of the crumpled wreckage show the completely mangled bonnet, while both of the vehicle's wheels are missing.
Speaking after the chase, officers insisted the driver – who is now in police custody – was “very lucky to be uninjured”.
