Three people dead after being ‘shot with a crossbow’ in Toronto

Police say the bodies of two men and one woman were found today and at least two had what appeared to be crossbow wounds

THREE people have been killed after an apparent crossbow attack in Toronto, Canada today.

Police responded to a report of a stabbing incident and arrived to find a victim suffering what appeared to be a "crossbow bolt" injury, Const. David Hopkinson told local news.

Hopkinson said: "We don't have any idea with regards to why this may have happened."

Paramedics say two men and a woman died in the incident, while two others are being treated for serious injuries.

Nearby streets were closed for the investigation and police say one person is in custody.

Constable Jennifer Sidhu said there were other "things" found in the area that could have been used in the incident but did not explain further.
