Inside Young Dolph’s violent past as rapper was shot in 2017 and spoke about being ‘targeted’ before his death

A RAPPER who was reportedly shot dead on Wednesday had been shot in 2017 – and had spoken about being "targeted" before he was killed outside of a Memphis shop.
According to outlets, Young Dolph, whose real name is Adolph Robert Thornton, Jr., was visiting one of his favorite hometown spots when gunfire erupted.
Earlier today, the outlet reported that someone was shot at Makeda's Cookies in Memphis, Tennessee.
Maurice Hill, the owner of the shop where the shooting happened, told his employees said Young Dolph walked into the store to buy cookies.
The outlet also reports that three law enforcement officers confirmed the young rapper's death.
The owner then claimed that someone drove up and then shot and killed the rapper. He also told that the star was hit while he was buying cookies.
The 36-year-old rapper has openly admitted that he has been a target of violence since his teenage years.
“I’ve been targeted since I was 17, 18, 19,” he stated in an interview with .

The rapper admitted that he did not grow up in the best surroundings, which caused him to turn to certain methods to make money.
When asked how, he responded: “Hustling – you’ve been seeing it for so long that you start to partake in it.”

CHARLOTTE SHOOTING IN 2017
By 2017, Dolph had begun establishing himself in the music industry. With the rising fame, the talented rapper also gained enemies.
On the night of February 26, Dolph was in Charlotte for Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) tournament weekend.
Before the game, his SUV was reportedly shot at over 100 times at the intersection of 8th and North Caldwell Street near an apartment complex.
Although it was reported that dozens of the bullets released actually hit the SUV, the "Preach" rapper was able to walk away unscathed.
Later that night, Dolph performed at Charlotte’s Cameo Night Club with Migos and 21 Savage.
He also uploaded a post to , seemingly responding to the alleged gunmen.

After surviving the deadly encounter, Dolph became the victim of another shooting in the same year, but this time in Hollywood, California.
