MYSTERY DEATH PROBE

Christy Giles cops ‘speaking to two men’ after vid showed model’s body being ‘dumped on sidewalk’

COPS have spoken to two men who admitted dumping model Christy Giles’ body on a sidewalk outside a hospital, her husband told The Sun.

The two unidentified men are claiming that Christy, 24, and her designer friend Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola, 26, suffered “accidental overdoses," according to Christy’s grieving widower Jan Cilliers.

Christy was found dead outside Southern California Hospital in Culver City, Los Angeles, on Saturday evening while Hilda was dropped off unresponsive at another West LA hospital two hours later and currently remains in a critical condition.

The women had been on a night out on Friday and left with three men to go to an afterparty in the Hollywood Hills - but never made it there.

A third man who was allegedly seen leaving the party with them remains at large and has not made himself available to police, Jan told The Sun.

One of the men has been described in reports as an alleged “underground pornographer” and Jan fears the men took advantage of Christy and Hilda over a 12-hour period on Saturday.

Jan said that CCTV footage which has been described to him but he has not seen shows two men wearing all black, bandanas over their faces and driving a car without license plates dropping Christy off.

South Africa-born visual effects artist Jan, 40, said that he had received information about the men online after putting out the last known address Christy was at.

He told The Sun: “People started contacting me and saying this guy is the creepiest of the creeps.

“I’ve heard stories that have apparently been going on throughout the years.

“Two of his ex-girlfriends reached out and warned us about him.

“I know that police haven’t contacted him yet and that he hasn’t made himself available.

“The police have spoken to two of the men and they are claiming that it was an accidental overdose.

“I’ve been told they admitted they were with the girls all night and were the ones who dropped Christy and Hilda off at the hospitals.

“Obviously that story doesn’t add up - how do you drop off one girl for an accidental overdose while the other girl, one of her closest friends, stays back at the house and isn’t dropped off for another two hours?

“There is something weird going on.

“I’m fearful that these men took advantage of them.

“I mean, what do you do with two girls that you don't allow to escape from your house for 12 hours, considering everything that we know about these guys?

“Whatever happened wasn't a fun thing.”

Asked if he had been told whether the men had been arrested, Jan said: “They are just being questioned at this point.”

After accessing Christy’s phone records through the cloud, Jan found that Christy had texted Hilda at around 5.30am saying “Let’s get out of here” with the wide eyes emoji.

Hilda replied “Yes” and said she had called for an Uber - but after that Christy did not read or respond to any more texts sent to her.

Jan said that the family has not yet received any information about Christy’s toxicology report but has been told that heroin was found in Hilda’s system.

He explained: “We’re expecting Christy’s toxicology report to hopefully come back any day now.

“I don't know what I'm expecting. We'll see what the toxicology report says.

“The only place where we got heroin from was apparently from Hilda’s step-mom’s version of the toxicology report.

“I haven't heard from the coroner or seen the toxicology report myself, so it’s coming from a third party source.”

Jan explained that Christy and Hilda had met through a mutual friend after Hilda moved from her native Mexico to Los Angeles in July.

Pics provided by Jan showed the two women smiling for the camera while they partied on Friday.

Jan and Christy first met at an art gallery in West Hollywood in 2019 and went on their first date on Valentine’s Day that year.

Just six months later they got married at the Burning Man art festival in the Nevada desert.

“It was a whirlwind, intense, insanely loving relationship,” Jan said.

“Christy just lit up every room. This girl was so fun and full of life, she just would shine happiness all the time.

“But she was also the biggest defender of all her friends and me.

“Anybody that stuck a foot wrong with someone that she was loyal to would hear about it from her for sure.

“She’s a fighter, her dad was military police and taught her how to take care of herself.”

An LAPD spokesman could not confirm whether any suspects had been interviewed in the case.

He told The Sun: “Unfortunately we don't have any information to update on that case.

“We can only corroborate any information coming to us straight from the investigators and they haven't updated us with any information.”
